SSCS was established in 1989 as the first Intergraph Support Organization in the UK. Such was the demand for SSCS's services that the company's activities and areas of expertise soon expanded to envelop all of the major UNIX platforms, Hewlett-Packard, SUN, Fujitsu-Siemens, IBM, & SGI. Specialist support for DEC equipment was also offered in those earlier days. SSCS printer and plotter services business also increased at the same time, and to this day SSCS continue to provide engineering support across most well known print product ranges.

With SSCS's expansion in expertise, subcontracting began to grow in Europe and beyond. SSCS presence in the USA was already well established in the early days. SSCS opened another major European office in Germany in 1992, and later new offices in Singapore, Japan, Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand. With other European partners already on-board SSCS are justly proud of their global presence.

SSCS moved to their new premises in Prime Enterprise Park in December 2002, after a grand opening ceremony culminating in the unveiling of a plaque by the Rt. Hon. Margaret Beckett, MP.

SSCS provide subcontracting services to a number of international support organizations with whom SSCS continue to enjoy very successful long term relationships. If you haven't come across SSCS in the past, it does not necessarily mean that one of SSCS's engineers has not appeared on one of your sites in the past 15 years

SSCS's mission is to provide UNIX platform end users with an attractive and flexible alternative to the high costs of hardware maintenance usually associated with manufacturers' support contracts. SSCS strive to provide savings of between 30 to 50% compared to the cost of OEM providers. Where legacy UNIX systems are involved the savings are usually even more dramatic.

Offering a low cost alternative does not mean that SSCS's customers receive a reduced service. On the contrary, many customers are of the opinion that SSCS provide a superior service in terms of quality, flexibility, and friendliness, combined with a fast response to all problems.
